Your information.
Treated with care.

This notice explains how SafariSense handles information shared through our public website, enquiries and related business conversations.

It does not replace the privacy notice a lodge gives its own guests, staff or suppliers when using the SafariSense platform.

Effective 21 August 2026

Collect

Only what the conversation needs.

Information you provide

Your name, organisation, role, business contact details, enquiry and correspondence, together with ordinary business records created if we engage with you.

Information created by the website

Basic technical and security information such as IP address, browser or device type, requested pages, dates, times and error or access logs.

What not to send

Please do not submit guest records, passport details, children’s information, health information, banking details, lodge spreadsheets or other sensitive operational information through this public website.

Your choice

Supplying enquiry information is voluntary. Without your contact and enquiry details, however, we may be unable to respond or arrange a demonstration.

Use

Why we use it.

01

Respond

Answer enquiries, arrange demonstrations and take steps requested before a possible contract.

02

Operate

Run, protect and improve the website and our business systems.

03

Administer

Maintain appropriate business, contractual, financial and legal records.

04

Communicate

Send marketing only with consent or another basis permitted by law, always with a simple way to opt out.

We process information where necessary for requested pre-contractual steps or a contract, to meet legal obligations, with consent, or for legitimate interests that do not unjustifiably override your rights. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.

Store

Protected, then removed.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information and risk, including controlled access, multi-factor authentication, security monitoring and protected cloud infrastructure. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to handle the enquiry or relationship, operate securely, meet legal and contractual obligations, and establish or defend claims. When it is no longer required, we delete, destroy or de-identify it, subject to lawful preservation requirements and reasonable backup cycles.

Cookies

The current website does not intentionally use advertising, behavioural-profiling or analytics cookies. Essential hosting and security technologies may still be used to deliver and protect it. We will update this notice and add an appropriate choice mechanism before introducing non-essential tracking.

Share

Limited and safeguarded.

Where reasonably necessary, information may be shared with trusted providers supporting our hosting, communications, security, software development and business operations; professional advisers and parties involved in a legitimate corporate transaction; and public authorities where required or permitted by law.

Providers processing information for us must be subject to appropriate confidentiality, security and contractual safeguards. We do not sell personal information.

Some providers may process information outside South Africa. Where this happens, SafariSense will rely on a ground permitted by section 72 of POPIA and use appropriate contractual or other safeguards designed to provide an adequate level of protection.

Your choices

Your information remains yours.

Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether we hold your information; request access or correction; request deletion or destruction where permitted; object to certain processing or direct marketing; and withdraw consent.

The public website is intended for business users, not children, and we do not intentionally collect children’s information through it. We do not make solely automated website decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects.
